Islamic Books

The Qur’an is the holy book of the Islamic religion. “Qur'an means ‘The Recital’ in Arabic; according to the story, the angel Gabriel commanded Muhammad to ‘Recite!’.” (sacred-texts.com, 2010). Muslims believe the book contains the exact words of Allah and his message to the world. This is the guide of their lives. Reading, reciting, and studying the Qur’an is an important obligation to carry out in the Islamic community. The Qur’an was brought together by the people of Islam. Gabriel had appeared to Muhammad many more times after their first meeting to tell him the words of Allah. Muhammad recited these to his followers and friends in which they began writing down. Soon, these collections of writings later became the Qur’an!
